Fullhurst Community College

Year 8 and 9 girls football match vs New College and City of Leicester College - 5.12.17

The year 8 and 9 girls played a mini-tournament against New College and City of Leicester College on Tuesday 5 December at home. The girls dominated their first game against New College with Millie regularly driving forward on the right wing, placing pressure on the defending team. The girls held a strong defence throughout the game and were unfortunate to concede New College's one and only chance on goal. The girls kept their heads up and continued to work hard right until the final whistle.

Fullhurst then had a break whilst City of Leicester fought a well earned 2-1 victory over New College.

Fullhurst then played City of Leicester. The final score was 0-0 which did not reflect the dominant performance Fullhurst displayed. They did not allow City of Leicester any chances on goal and play remained in Fullhurst's attacking half, placing constant pressure on City of Leicester.  Tallulah took every chance to push forward on the left wing, creating many opportunities for the Fullhurst strikers.  Despite numerous shots on goal and the fantastic positions Megan placed herself in the box (missing the ball by centimetres), unfortunately, Fullhurst just couldn’t find the back of the net!

The girls should be very proud of both performances and with some shooting practice in training next week, we'll start getting those shots on target! Well done girls!
