Safeguarding Week

Students took part in discussions and activities designed to raise awareness, build resilience, and encourage safer choices.
As part of Safeguarding Week 2025, we dedicated time to address one of the most pressing issues facing young people today: knife crime. Throughout the week, students took part in discussions and activities designed to raise awareness, build resilience, and encourage safer choices.
A key highlight was a visit from a local police officer, who led a series of engaging and informative workshops. These sessions explored the dangers and consequences of carrying knives, the impact on individuals and communities, and the importance of speaking out and seeking support.
Students responded thoughtfully, asking insightful questions and reflecting on real-life scenarios. Many shared how the workshops challenged their perspectives and helped them understand the serious risks involved.
We are incredibly grateful to our guest officer for their time, honesty, and commitment to keeping young people safe.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and we remain committed to providing our students with the knowledge, support, and confidence to make positive, informed decisions.
