University of Oxford Trip

14 of our Year 11 students had the incredible opportunity to visit the University of Oxford. The day was packed with enriching activities designed to inspire academic curiosity and broaden their horizons.
Students took part in critical thinking workshops, where they learned to analyse arguments, challenge assumptions and engage in deeper intellectual discussions. They also enjoyed a guided tour of one of Oxford’s historic colleges, followed by a walk through the beautiful city - giving them a real sense of student life at one of the world’s oldest universities.
A highlight of the visit was an old book workshop, where students examined centuries-old texts and explored how knowledge was preserved and shared long before the digital age. The day concluded with a history taster session, offering a glimpse into what studying the subject at university level is really like.
It was an inspiring and unforgettable experience, leaving many students excited about their future academic possibilities.
