Year 8 students enjoyed 'Un voyage magnifique à Paris'

Year 8 students enjoyed a magnificent cultural visit to Paris, just before the Christmas break.  The visit provided students with an opportunity to discover and experience the magic of Paris in December

The excited students endulged in some retail therapy at the French Christmas market on the Avenue Champs Elysées, where they were be able to practise their language skills and enhance their understanding of French culture. Staying at the PGL Centre, Château de Grande Romaine, students sampled traditional French food as well as a variety of outdoor activities.  Over the course of the four days, the students enjoyed a number of sightseeing visits and activities including an opportunity  to ascend to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower where they were greeted with an amazing  panoramic view of Paris.  At the Christmas market on the Avenue de Champs Elysées, they savoured the unique smells of fresh gingerbread and pretzels and were of course  able to buy unique souvenirs and gifts! The group also enjoyed a boat trip along the River Seine as well as ice skating.  On the final day, students were lucky enough to enjoy a memorable and magical visit to Disneyland Paris.
